Well, I’m sick, how and when it happened, not fully sure, just woke up a mess. But I’m pushing through it. So far I’ve gotten a lot done at the start of this year, I’ve got my first YA Horror coming out, “Young Blood”. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I’m not sure how anyone else viewed it but in my mind, it felt like American Gladiators mixed with Death Race, that concept alone is amazing but the author takes the time to not only give you an action-packed story but to educate you on the injustices of the United States prison system as well as racism and discrimination.
There is so much that can be unpacked from this book but at the heart of it all is a story about forgiveness, for those that have harmed you and for yourself. He shined a light on people that society views as disposable and really drove home that they are people just like the rest of us and that ending… really lets you know that there are no winners in this game of life.
