Hey Survivor,
Let’s keep this horror train going. This list is mainly about movies & books that gave me the creeps for one reason or another. Night 3’s pick didn’t give me the creeps, but I loved the overall story and how everything played out. If I had to pick one part that creeped me out, it might be the very end with the last scare, chills!

In treacherous pirate-infested waters, a horrifying tale unfolds, intertwining the brutal reality of the transatlantic slave trade with the relentless onslaught of the undead. Dayo and Kofi, two souls promised to each other, are ripped from their homeland and thrust into the abyss of the zombie apocalypse. They must fight not only for their survival but also for the redemption and freedom of their people.
After a revolt on a slave ship sends Kofi to a watery grave, Dayo must face this new world alone. As the sea churns with the echoes of her ancestors' pain, Dayo must confront her demons and forge an unlikely alliance with the very soul who helped enslave her people to stop a flesh-crazed crew of zombie pirates. From the blood-soaked decks of slave ships to the haunted shores of cursed islands, Dayo must navigate betrayal and treachery and overcome the monsters "Dead Soil" created.
Oddity Is Currently Streaming On Shudder
The wife and I have decided to take on the “100 Horror Movies In 92 Days” challenge; right now, we’re getting our butts handed to us because we are so behind, but I have faith we’re gonna knock it out of the park. One of the best things about this challenge is that it forces you to watch all the new movies you can. This brings us to Oddity, the film everyone in the horror community was going crazy about this year. With this one, I would say the hype is real. If you want to follow our movie challenge on Letterboxd, add us to your friends’ list.
Oddity is about a blind woman trying to understand the senseless murder of her twin sister. Our main character, Darcy, believes in the supernatural and says she has a gift. When she touches someone’s personal item, she can read their life more or less like a book, so the personal item she’s dealing with today is the glass eye of her sister’s killer. Whatever Darcy saw has led her to believe the man who was accused is not the man who killed her sister, and now she’s back at her sister’s house with her former brother-in-law and his new girlfriend to solve this murder with the help of a creepy life-size man made out of wood.
This movie has everything my little horror heart needed. We had a murder mystery, supernatural creepy things, and a sister out for revenge! I will say the story was really straightforward and easy to figure out, but it was still a well-told story, and I had fun with it. The vibe of this movie is like a gothic ghost story/murder mystery. It’s not really all that hard to figure out who the killer is, so it is more about the ride getting there than unmasking the killer. Everyone is saying it’s the scariest movie of the year. I won’t say that, but it’s definitely in my top ten for 2024.
Well, that’s it for me, Survivor. We have 10 more nights to go, and I hope you’re ready for the coming terror. As always, stay safe, stay woke, and stay alive!
